TRENDING COLOURS

Colour of the year by Pantone is Very Peri. It is a light purple colour from blue colour family with violet and red undertones. Very Peri presents happiness, joyous attitude, creativity and imaginative expressions; tells the Executive Director of the Pantone.

BROWN IN ALL OF ITS SHADES

Brown colour is more soft and luxurious alternative compared to black. It also goes well with many colours; try it with leather (or more eco-friendly fake-leather), brass furniture and golden decoration details. Include some white colour for a cleaner, pure look. Beige and other light shades of brown bring lovely harmony to your home.

FURNITURE IN WOOD & OTHER WOODEN DETAILS

The lounge chair is made of teak, that is a tropical hardwood tree specie. It is one of the hardest and most resistant types of woods available and it is especially valued for its durability and water resistance. Coffee table is made from oak, that is also very durable material. The lamp is made from rattan that we will tell more about below.

RATTAN

Rattan is a species of palm trees and they are mainly found in Southeast Asia. It is very similiar to bamboo but more durable. It is also weavable and the typical braiding pattern is called Wiener Geflecht.

ILALA PALM

Ilala palm is also a species of palm tree native of the eastern Afrotropics and it is a perfect weaving material. The weavers pull the palm fronds into strips and dye them using seasonal fruits and roots. It is a technique that is handed down from old masters to young ones.
